John WILLIAMS

Know all men by these presents that we James & John SCOTT 
heirs of James SCOTT late of Scrubgrass township have this 
day for ourselves our heirs executors & administrators or 
assigns sold & assigned to John WILLIAMS his heirs executors 
administrators or assigns all our Interest claim and demand 
in & to our undivided part or share to a piece of land 
situate in Scrubgrass township containing seventy two acres 
or thereabouts willed to SamÕl SCOTT by James SCOTT late of 
Scrubgrass township , decÕd Bounded by land of Alex SCOTT on 
the east & Wm SCOTT on the South, James ANDERSON on the west 
& Wm. Graham & Thos. ANDERSON on the north for & in 
consideration of the Sum of three Hundred & fifty dollars to 
them in hand paid by the said John WILLIAMS the receipt they d
o hereby acknowledge and do hereby forever acquit and 
discharge the said John WILLIAMS his heirs & assigns from all 
claim in or to their interest in said land and from every 
person claiming or pretending to claim in or through them.  
In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals 
this twenty fourth day of Feby Eighteen hundred and forty 
four.

On the day of the above date RecÕd by and from the above 
named John WILLIAMS three hundred and fifty Dollars the 
consideration money in full.
