Obituary

Mrs. Donald Battin

Mrs. Margaret Ann Battin, 33, wife of Donald Battin, of Salina, 
died in the Oil City hospital at 9:20 o'clock Saturday night.  
Mrs. Battin was a daughter of W. A.  and Mary Tenbus Cann 
and was born in New Castle on January 9, 1901.  She had
resided in Oil City and Salina for a number of years and 
was well known throughout this vicinity.   She was a graduate 
of the Oil City high school with the class of 1920 and was a 
member of the Trinity Methodist Episcopal church.
The deceased is survived by her husband, three children, Pauline, 
Donald and Barbara; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. W.A. Cann of Salina; 
one brother, Byron Cann of Salina; and one sister, Mrs. Hazel Blum, 
of Oil City.  The body was removed to the Osenider chapel where 
funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon.  
Interment will be made in Grove Hill Cemetery.
