  "EUGENE LEROY RUGH SR., 71, of 178 Vincent Road, Franklin, died at 8:45 a.m. 
  Wednesday, June 18, 2003, in the West Unit of UPMC Northwest, Franklin. Born 
  in the Siverly section of Oil City February 11, 1932, he was the son of the 
  late Leroy Rugh and Dorothy Lucretia Mong Plummer. He was a graduate of Rocky 
  Grove High School. Mr. Rugh had been employed for 32 years as a painter of 
  coal mining machinery at Joy Manufacturing. He attended the Cooperstown 
  Community Church. Mr. Rugh enjoyed his family, gardening and golfing. He was 
  married January 15, 1965, to the former Jean L. Wolford, who survives. Also 
  surviving are four sons, Eugene "Butch" Rugh and his wife, Carole, of 
  Franklin, William Rugh and his wife, Donna, of Winchester, KY, Larry Rugh and 
  his wife, Kelly, of Montgomery, NY and Kreig Rugh and his wife, Debbie, of 
  Aurora, OH; four daughters Mrs. Earl (Teresa Ann) Flick of Tionesta, Mrs. 
  Daniel (Laurie J.) Murray of Cochranton, Karen S. Beggs and Mrs. Randy (Kelly) 
  Beightol, both of Franklin; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 
  Two brothers, Donald M. Rugh and his wife, Twila, of St. James City, FL and 
  James S. Rugh and his wife, Barb, of Franklin, also survive him. Mr. Rugh was 
  preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Janet L. Sherretts; and an infant 
  brother, Jack P. Rugh. His body was gifted to the Humanity Gifts Registry. A 
  memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Cooperstown Community 
  Church with the Rev. Jeffery Lyons, pastor, officiating. The family suggests 
  memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, 10 W. Front St., 
  Oil City, 16301, or to the Visiting Nurses Association of Venango County, 176 
  E. Bissell Ave., Oil City, 16301."
