I Tamar WILLIAMS in the County of Venango, being, myself, weak in body, but (thanks be to God Almighty) possessing perfect soundness of mind memory and understanding being of my immortality do make and constitute this my last will and testament. First and principally I recommend my immortal spirit to God who gave it in hopes of a joyous resurrection and my body to the Earth when it shall please God to [illegible] my & body to be buried decently & in a Christian like manner at the discretion of my executor. And as to such worldly estate as with it hath pleased God to bless me. I give and dispose thereof as follows: First I do nominate and do appoint my son Levi WILLIAMS of Venango County, State aforesaid to be my Executor of this my last will & testament. Secondly it is further my will that my daughter Sarah at my death shall have as follows. My satters [sic] bonnet my feather bed & bedding that has a striped tick my pewter tankards my pewter cream jug my [illegible] flannel which I have for [illegible] dress and my new chest with its contents being a looking glass and the [illegible] part of my part of my bedcloaths table linen after deducting and such as herein after otherwise disposed of. Thirdly it is my will that my daughter Mary shall have two good necoline [sic] sheets one fine table cloth & one coarse one and my [illegible] flannel frock. Fourthly it is will that my son [illegible] shall have my other feather bed and bedding that has a plain tick my [illegible] spinning wheel my stove and my knives, and forks. It is further my will that my son Levi shall have my dresser and bureau but he is to pay for the two last mentioned things as follows. For the dresser five dollars & for the bureau the price it was appraised at after my husbandŐs death. Fifthly it is my will that the remainder of my wearing apparel and dresser furniture be equally divided among my two daughters and the remainder part of my [illegible] be equally distributed between my seven children. Sixthly and lastly it is my will that all the remainder of my property be sold by my executors and all my outstanding debts collected and from the proceeds thereof all my just debts and funeral expenses paid and the sum of ten dollars be given to my son Benjamin and the remainder of said proceeds be equally divided between my five sons, John, Jesse, Levi, Benjamin & Eli. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the ninth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty five. Tamar WILLIAMS her mark Signed and sealed in presence of Stephen ARNOLD Joseph KERR Venango County On the thirtieth day of December 1825 personally Stephen ARNOLD and Joseph KERR at the registers office in the town of Franklin the two subscribing witnesses to the within will and upon their solumn oaths doth declare and say that they were present and did see and hear the testator Tamar WILLIAMS sign seal publish pronounce and did declare the within writing as and for her last will and testament and that at the time of the doing thereof she was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief and further that the names of Stephen ARNOLD and Joseph KERR are of their own handwriting subscribed by them as witnesses thereunto in the presence of and at the request of the testatrix.
