Bates, 1870, Vol. 1, p. 840: Orsamus A. Young, Private, Co. H, (recruited at Warren, Warren County), 39th Regiment, Tenth Reserve, for three years service on June 22, 1861. He was discharged on Surgeon's certificate April 13, 1862. ....................................... ARIAS - Pennsylvania Digital State Archives has: Orsamus A. Young, Co. H, 10th Reserves, enrolled May 7, 1861 at Warren County and was mustered in June 22, 1861 (State) at Camp Wright and July 21, 1861 (Federal) at Harrisburg, Pa. He was aged 24 at enrollment, with a light complexion, stood 5' 8" tall, had blue eyes, black hair, and was a lumberman by occupation, residing in Warren County. He was discharged under a Surgeon's Certificate of Disability on April 13, 1862. Rolls also show name as Young, O. A. See Bates, Vol. 1, p. 840.
