  "Genius of Liberty," Jamestown NY, 4 Aug 1832 (a Universalist newspaper)
  [summarized] Died: In Columbus, Warren Co., Pennsylvania on the 27th ult., 
  Capt. David Curtis, age 46.  An early settler.  The only son of James Curtis 
  Esq. of Sherburne, Chenango Co., NY.  ìWhen told by his attending physician 
  that he was going very fast, he requested water to wash his face,... talked 
  with perfect calmness to his weeping wife and children, then requesting them to 
  lay him in the center of the bed..., in a very few moments breathed his last.î  
  Survived by his wife, his father, an only sister, and seven children.  Funeral 
  Sun. the 29th.
