The village of Lone Pine has been known variously as Lone Pine, Pleasant Valley, and Pin Hook. On April 8, 1857, David Frazee, Sr., and David Slusher gave a deed "to the Christian Church, composed of the Disciples of Christ meeting at Pleasant Valley, in Amwell township, Washington County, for and in consideration of one dollar, of three acres, strict measure," of land, to be held sacred to the construction of a cemetery and the erection of a meeting-house, and for no other purpose. The DAR data said that the cemetery was in fine condition, beautifully located in town with many trees. There is little else know about the cemetery. This data was collected by the DAR and found in the genealogy section of the Washington PA library. The data is from 1937 so the burial records may not be complete. =========================================================================================================================================== LAST NAME FIRST NAME BORN DIED AGE NOTES =========================================================================================================================================== ANDERSON Christopher no dates Civil War BAYNE Solomon S. 1907 Civil War BEST William T. no dates Civil War BIRCH Mary b. 7 Oct 1818 9 Jul 1886 CAMP John D. 7 Aug 1828 65yr Soldier of the Revolution.
