Liberty Rd West Alexander, PA Lat: 40° 6'27.74"N, Lon: 80°30'31.09"W Donegal Township Directions: Take the West Alexander exit from Interstate Route 70 (about 15 miles west of Washington, PA); follow Old Brick Road for 0.1 mi and continue on Maple Ave for 0.1; turn left on Main Street for 0.1 mi; turn right on North Liberty Street for 0.2 miles, cemetery is on right. The precise date of the organization of the United Presbyterian Cemetery of West Alexander is not definitely known. The earliest Presbytery records state that in the year 1793, "a supply of preaching was granted to the Associate Reformed Church of Three Ridges," the name by which it was known at that time. But from other records it may safely be considered as having had an existence some years prior to that date. The notes of the DAR said the condition of the cemetery was “deplorable. It was overgrown with briers and elder bushes, only one half the cemetery was reachable at all.” Their earliest grave was shown as June 21, 1807. This data was collected by the DAR and found in the genealogy section of the Washington PA library. The data is from 1936 so the burial records may not be complete. ========================================================================================================= LAST NAME FIRST NAME BORN DIED AGE NOTES ========================================================================================================= BUCHANAN Catherine 16 Mar 1870 86 BURNES Alexander 23 Sep 1852 23 BURNES Elenor 6 Jul 1844 19 daughter of Robert and Catherine CARR James 9 Dec ???? 45 CARR Nancy Unreadable CRAIG Roland 21 Jun 1875 46 CRAIG Sarah 16 Mar 1871 35 wife of Roland DANLEY Rachel 1 May 1852 47 DAVIS Elizabeth 6 Sep 1869 27 wife of Richard DENNISTON James 12 Mar 1858 10 FERREL Easter 15 Oct 1869 80 wife of Joseph FERREL Jane 12 Apr 1863 37 wife of James GRAHAM Jane Ann 20 ??? 1864 77 wife of Thomas GRAHAM Thomas 15 Feb 1853 76 HARVEY Eleanor 25 Sep 1853 58 wife of Theodore HARVEY Theodore L. 10 May 1872 75 HOSACK Nancy 18 Jun 1880 84 wife of David MAGILL Jane 1 Jun 1874 72 MAGILL John 29 Oct 1870 90 MCCOY Jane Brownlee b. 29 Apr 1793 25 Jun 1869 MCCOY Kenneth b. 25 Mar 1791 19 Mar 1873 MCCUTCHEN Eliza 18 Mar 1818 89 MCCUTCHEN John b. 18 Feb 1795 9 Jan 1859 MCKUNE Andrew 22 Jan 1875 77 MCKUNE David b. 27 Aug 1818 26 Sep 1883 MCKUNE Mary 26 Aug 1862 20 wife of David MORRISON Robert 25 Jun 1858 57 MORRISON Samuel 23 Dec 1857 26 NEIL Nancy Armstrong 23 Dec 1858 married 11 Oct 1821 to Rev William PAIRSON Margaret 8 Jun 1864 31 consort PATTISON Ann 11 Jan 1851 81 wife of Rev John PATTISON John (Rev) 17 Sep 18??
