Ewing s'd his father was buried at Dunlaps Creek but more than 50 yrs later when his mother died, he had his bones removed & re interred in the Washington Cem where his mother is buried. He said his father graduated at Washington College in 1853 & took a 3 yrs course in Jefferson medical college & after a short sojourn at West Newton etc, he located in Uniontown, Pa. He went in the Civil War as a surgeon in 1862 & served as a surgeon for two years. He bought the Main St property corner Gallatin Ave now owned by the Union Trust Co, but sold by his Adms to Dr David Porter. Additional Comments: Extracted from Josiah V.
