All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Muriel Sonne cgsonne@yahool.com June 5, 2012, 6:25 pm Written: June 2, 1825 Recorded: September 26, 1825 Deedbook 2I, p. 170 Lawrence Crow Jun’r to William Crow This Indenture made this second day of June in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred & twenty five Between Lawrence Crow Jun’r of Washington County and State of Pennsylvania of the one part and William Crow of the same County & State of the other part Witnesseth That the said Lawrence Crow for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred and six dollars in hand paid to the said Lawrence Crow by the said William Crow do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said William Crow his heirs and assigns the one undivided third part of the following tracts of land The first containing one hundred and forty nine acres more or less it being the same tract of land owned by Lawrence Crow deceased and by reason of his death John Crow being one of the heirs having become possessed of the same and at the death of the said John Crow the said Lawrence Crow being one of the three heirs left by the said John Crow he became possessed of the one third of the aforesaid tract of land which he conveys to the said William Crow forever with all its appurtenances thereto belonging for the boundaries thereof more particularly to show refer to the original patent and the the division made by the heirs of Lawrence Crow dec’d Recorded in the Office of the Recorder for the county of Washington Pennsylvania the aforesaid tract adjoins land of William Huggins, John Nixon and Lawrence Crow part of the same survey Also one other tract Containing thirty nine acres it being the tract allowed to Ruth Crow one of the heirs of Lawrence Crow dec’d and at the death of sd Ruth the said John Crow became possessed of the one sixth part of the aforesaid thirty nine acres and by the death of the said John Crow the said Lawrence became possessed of the one third part of the said John Crow’s interest which he sells and conveys unto the said Wm Crow his heirs and assigns forever To Have and to Hold all the above described tracts or parcels of land unto the said William Crow his heirs and assigns forever the title thereof the said Lawrence for himself his heirs etc Warrants to the said William Crow his heirs and assigns forever against the claim or claims of any person or persons legally claiming the same or any part thereof. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and date above written. Laurence X (his mark) Crow Jun’r (seal) Hand sealed and delivered in the presence of us Caleb Johnson Gregg Peak Received of William Crow three hundred and six dollars the consideration money Jun’r Washington County Ss Before me one of the Justices of the peace (seal) in and for the County of Washington personally appeared the above named Laurence Crow and did acknowledge in due form of law that he had signed & sealed and as and for his act and deed delivered the above deed and desired that the same might be recorded as such In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this second day of June A.
