Now as the said Crow died intestate application was made to the Orphan’s Court to have the real estate appraised and divided amongst the heirs according to quality and quantity, the names of the heirs are as follows, to wit, John, Thomas, Jane married to Wm Huggins, Margaret since married to John Nixon, William, Ruthy, and Lawrence Crow, the above said Ruthy Crow being lawfully seized and possessor of the seventh part of the above said tract of land as one of the seven heirs. She the said Ruthy Crow dieing without issue and likewise intestate her, the said Ruthy’s one seventh part thereby devolving on the other heirs above mentioned, namely John Crow, Jane Huggins, Margaret Nixon, William Crow, and Lawrence Crow. Now the above said John dieing intestate, likewise leaving legitimate issue, the above said William purchased the right of said John’s heirs’ interest in the above said land, including their father’s interest in and the said Ruthey’s one seventh part of the above said land, he the said William likewise purchased the above said Jane Huggins’ right and interest in and to the above said Ruthy deceased’s one seventh part of said land. The said William now becoming possessed of one half of the said Ruthy’s deceased’s interest in said land. The above said Lawrence Crow purchased the above said Thomas Crow’s right and interest in and to the said Ruthy deceased’s interest in the above said land. The said Lawrence thereby becoming possessed of the one third part of the said Ruthy deceased’s interest in said land. The above said Margaret Nixon retaining her right and interest in and to the said Ruthy deceased’s interest in the above said land. Now the said Margaret Nixon, William Crow and Lawrence Crow hereby becoming possessed of the whole of the said Ruthy Crow deceased, one seventh part of the above said tract of land containing thirty nine acres and eighty three perches according to quality and quantity Hath chosen John Ringland, Francis Reader and John Jackman to divide and value the said Ruthy Crow deceased’s one seventh part amongst them in proportion to each one’s share, and that according to quality and quantity. And we the said Margaret Nixon, William Crow and Lawrence Crow do bind ourselves our heirs and assigns each to the other and to their heirs and assigns in the penal sum of one thousand dollars to agree and abide by the decision and valuation made by the above said John Ringland, Francis Reader and John Jackman and do agree that this instrument of writing shall be recorded in the recorders office in Washington for the recording of deeds and that for the purpose herein contained In Witness whereof we have hereunto set our hands and seals April the 30th 1835.
