"Natchez June 3, 1818 Dear Friends & relatives, This day I have taken to record the unfortunate circumstance of the death of my brother John Burget who Expired here last fall with the Yeallow [sic] fever: which proved very mortal to the inhabitants of this place. The pirticulars [sic] of his life, and death I have not yet ascrtained [sic]. But will give it the next mail. I have maid [sic] Every Enquire respecting Brother Isaac but no information could I get than he once recided [sic] in Natchez. We have had a very successful Journey (though tedious) and much favored with health, and if it be the Will of God, I hope by care we may Enjoy it. We will be detained here several weeks yet.
