August twenty fourth, 1785, Isaac Farguson Came in his proper person before me the subscribers one of the justices of the court of common pleas for said county and made oath that he was present and heard David Bryon contract with Thomas Robertson to serve a tour of Militia duty for him the said David under the command of Lieutenant Wilson of Capt. Wright's Company, and that the said Thomas rec'd a cow of the said David in full Satisfaction for the said Tower, and the said David was by their agreement to Receive the public pay for the Service so as aforesaid to be preformed by the said Thomas in the Room and Stead of the said David.
