This service was performed under Captain Andrew Swearingen by whom he was drafted for that service, and it was understood at the time, as equivalent to a tour [blot on paper] on the frontier. The several tours of duty above mentioned were performed under Captains William Price and Andrew Swearingen. He does not now recollect the names of any other officers. He never was out along with his brother, but they lived together and he well remembers seeing him going out and returning from the tours above stated. In addition to the facts above stated, the deponent recollects that his said brother, Guion Allison, on several occasions when there was an alarm of Indians on the frontier, volunteered and went out with others, sometimes for three or four days, and at other times was gone as much as ten days, and on all occasions of the kind, he found his own arms, ammunition and provisions.
