Died at her residence in Cross Creek Village, on the 27th of February last, of
inflammation of the throat and breast, Mrs. Mary A. Edgar, in the 75th year of her
age. The deceased was a daughter of Mr. William Wylie, who resided for many years in
the vicinity of Washington, Pa. Her first husband was Gen. Samuel Scott, of
Chartiers, by whom she had three, sons and one daughter. After his death she was
married to John Lindley, a Ruling Elder of the church of Upper Ten Mile. And, some
time after his death, she became the wife of James Edgar, Esq., of Cross Creek, Pa…
