Monongahela Valley Republican Fri Mar 30, 1855 pg 3

           DIED
   In Carroll township, Washington county, Pa.,
on the 26th day of March inst., Mrs. Elizabeth
Lawrence, Consort of Gen. V. Lawrence, Esq.,
in the 37th year of her age.
   Her many virtues, her dignified and lady-like
deportment, her kindness to the poor, her devoted
and self-denying attachment to her family, and
finally, all those noble qualities that mark
the true woman, had endeared Mrs. Lawrence to
this whole community.--Not only does this sad
bereavement fall heavily upon Mr. Lawrence and
his friends, but brings sadness to the countenances
of all who knew her. Mrs. Lawrence died in the
glorious triumphs of our blessed religion.
