Lichtenfels, 77, Robinson, died Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2002, at his home. He was horn May 21, 1925, in Robinson, the son of Charles and Carrie Lynette Montgomery Lichtenfels. He was a member of the Community Bible Church of West Bolivar and a World War II veteran of the U. S. Navy. He was also a life member of the Duane Boring VFW Post 9310 of Robinson, and Charles Sutton American Legion Post 128 of Bolivar. His hobbies included carpentry and he helped build many houses, cabinets and fine woodworking projects. He also enjoyed bowling. He was a sports fan and a good conversationalist. He is survived by these six children: Sandy Hoffman, of Robinson; Tommy C. and his wife, Judy Bernabo, of Robinson; Sue Ann Malnosfky and her husband, Michael, of Robinson; Terry J. Brown and her husband, Ronald, Hummelstown; Rita K. Oravic and her husband, Michael, of Harrisburg; and Rex. R. and his wife, Patricia Kabasta, New Florence; these 11 grandchildren: Tammy Campbell; Rodney Lichtenfels; Carrie and Shelly Malnosfky; Krystal and Bryan Brown; Kelsey and Andrew Oravic; and Andrew, Alysa and Logan Lichtenfels; three great-grandchildren Dylan, Haley and Brenton Malnosfky. Also surviving arc these five siblings: Herman and Irene Spory, both Of Robinson; Vongale Hillegas of Sidman; Chervyl Stanish, of Batavia, N. Y., and Wayne, of Robinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Betty Pauline Sheller, who died Aug. 25, 1987, the day before their 44th wedding anniversary; his brothers Ralph and Alvin, and his sisters, Hazel Wesenberg and Mary Novak. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and front 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where a service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. Pastor Rex R. Lichtenfels will officiate. Interment will be in Germany Lutheran Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by local veterans groups.
