King Schempp, 74, of McKean Ave., passed away last night, April 6, 1932, following an extended illness. falling from a chair about a week ago, injuries caused complications which hastened her death. For 40 years, Mrs. Schempp, widow of William F. Schempp, former local merchant, lived in Charleroi and was identified as one of the few remaining charter members of the Christ Lutheran Church. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. John G. Albright of Charleroi; two sons Fred Schempp of Charleroi and Karl Schempp of Donora; one brother, Fred King, of North Side Pittsburgh; and one grandson Karl William Schempp of Donora. Funeral services at her late home Saturday afternoon with Rev. Merle Rea Kunkleman, pastor of Christ Lutheran in charge. Interment at Charleroi Cemetery.
