The Mt. Pleasant Township schools presented the 30th annual May day pageant yesterday evening on the school athletic
field at Hickory, and it proved to be one of the finest ever staged by the schools. Drills and dances were presented
by the elementary grades.  May Queen Marion Henderson and Lord of the May Angelo Zanolli are pictured with the coronation
court.  

Bottom row, left to right are the small boys and flower girls attired alike in white dresses, designed and made 
by the home economics department: Patty Sulanowski, Kathy Caldwell, Reed Welch, Kathy Cowden, Ricky Green, Gregory Caldwell,
Billie Kendzlic, Rebecca Zapotosky, Bobby McBride, Mary Carter, Donna Romanetti. Back row, left to right, Ray Kargle, Sandra
Romanetti, Robert Furlin, Shirley Mahoney, attendants: Shirley Cole, maid of honor; Marion Henderson, May Queen; Angelo
Zanolli, Lord of the May; Betty Kou Zemaitis, McCarrell Carter, Wilma Grivetti, William Miller, attendants. Fully 2,000
attended the pageant and formed the largest crowd ever to witness the affair.
