The cemetery is on the left across from Mine Number Sixty and just before the School. The church was formed in 1803 and used a tent but in 1830 land for the church and cemetery was donated by Solomon Huffman. The note in the DAR transcript says “the church has long passed in to decay and removal. The cemetery is still on the location and in fair condition.” According to a posting on a genealogical site, some of the tombstones reported in the book, Pigeon Creek Baptist Church by Lyle Brooks Watson, can no longer be found. This data was collected by the DAR and found in the genealogy section of the Washington PA library. The data is from 1939 so the burial records may not be complete.
