In the Name of God, Amen I Samuel Moore of Hanover Township Washington county in the State of Pennsylvania being in a very low State of health but of sound Memory do constitute this my last Will and Testament Viz - First I give and bequeath to my beloved wife - Betsey Moor all my houshold furniture all my Stock of Creatures and Raphel a negro boy together with all the grain in the ground to be wholy at her disposal. Item 2nd I Give and bequeath to my two Daughters Sally and Betsey Moore one hundred pounds each to be paid out of my Estate when they shall become of Lawful age. - Item 3rd I Give and bequeath to my two sonsViz. William McCord Moore and Russel Moore all my real Estate to be divided equally between them and in case either of my sons should dide without lawful issue then the part asign'd to the Desceased shall become the property of the surviving brother and if there remains any personal estate herein on otherwise disposed of this I bequeath to my said sons each to have an equal part, And if one of my Daughters die without lawful Ishue her part or portion shall acrue to the surviving Sister. Item 4th I will and bequeath to my brother John Moore twenty Dollars in cash to be paid in one year from the date on condition that he provides a convenient little house and takes care of our old aunt Jean Dicky, all the leather now in the Tans.... I desire to be dressed fit for market and sold at publick sale Together with all the Tanning utentials and a wind Mill for cleaning graina now Standing in the barn. Item 5 The Tract of Land on which I now live I desire to be rented out to the best advantage for the use of my heirs that no more Land be ceared during their minority nor timber wasted and that my wife may remove to a Small Tract of forty acres adjoining Dan'l Swearingen called (gennerally) the Coal bank place & there to remain from next Spring until my oldest son arrive at lawful age if She chooses on this condition that She clear no more Land than what is now deadned nor comit waste of timber.- Item 6 I bequeath twenty Dollars to the Trustees of the Crossroads Congretation to be applied as they think ....and meaning thereof, In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal this twenty fifth Day of October in the year of our Lord on thousand seven hundred and ninety nine. I desire that my boys be bound after they shall arive to the age of Sixteen years to a trade of their own respective choosing untill they arrive to the age of twenty one years, masters to be of their own choosing. This Clause also directed in presence of Jas Carothers, John Moore Washington Count to wit } Be it remembered that on the 30th day of Nov. A.D. 1799 Came personally before me the Subscriber Register for the Probate of Wills in and for said County James Carothers and John Moore the Subscribing witnesses to the within and aforegoing Instrument of writing who after being duly sworn according to law did declare and say that they were personally present and heard and saw Samuel Moore the Testator within named sign publish pronounce and declare the said aforegoing Instrument in writing as and for his last will and Testament and that at the time of the Execution thereof he the said Testator was of sound and well disposing mind memory and understanding according to the best of these Deponents knowledge observation and belief and that they signed their names thereto as wittnesses in presence of the Testator in presence of each other and at his request.
