And first I direct the payment of all my just bills and funeral Expenses out of the first monies that shall come to the hands of my executors hereinafter named. I give to John J. Schenk and George G. Spettigue or the survivor of them my old Farm where I now live, together with the stock Farming Utensils and household furniture upon the same, in First for the use and benefit of my Grand Son John Sillyphant (son of William Sillyphant) to be controlled managed and directed for the best interest of my said Grand Son. I give and bequeath to my Daughter In Law Caroline (wife of William Sillyphant) during her natural life the lot of land adjoining my old Farm as purchased of me of Col. R. C. Seely, Containing Forty five acres. Subject to the payment of One hundred and Seventy dollars balance of purchase money if so much shall remain unpaid at my decease and at her death said land to be equally shared by my two Grand Children John and Jane Sillyphant (children of said Caroline) share and share alike. Also I give and bequeath to my said Daughter in Law Caroline the Horse, Waggons, Harnesses, and Butchering Utensils now in possession of my son William to dispose of at her pleasure. I also give and bequeath to my son William Sillyphant a Judgment now standing in my name, against him on the Prothonotary's Docket of Wayne County which with monies heretofore paid by me for him shall be in full of all interest in my said Estate. I further will and direct that if my said Grand Son John Sillyphant shall not live to the age of twenty one years, then the bequest to him shall go to the said John's Sister Jane Sillyphant, or in the event of the death of said Jane before coming of age then I will and direct her share to go to my said Grand Son if he shall survive her. I hereby make constitute and appoint John J. Schenk and George G. Spettigue Executors of this my last Will and Testament, as also trustees for my said Grand Children John and Jane Sillyphant, desiring them or the survivors of them, to in all things connected with my Estate consult the interest and advantage of my said Grand Children. In witness whereof I the said Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of November A.D. 1857. Arnold Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration personally came C. P. Waller and James B. Eldred the subscribing witnesses to the above Will who being duly sworn according to Law, do say that they were present and saw and heard John Sillyphant the Testator, sign, seal, publish pronounce and declare the foregoing Instrument of Writing as and for his last Will and Testament and that at the time of so doing he was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
