Westmoreland Co., PA Foreword The following genealogical information was copied by Richard A, Newhouse Kelanic from transcripts, originally created by persons unknown to him, that were circulated among Zehner family researchers. The whereabouts of the Horn Bible Records is unknown, if indeed they exist at all. The authencity of these documents is questionable, at least in part. (My wife) Anna Cadrina (Errett) Horn, b. 11/23/1782, Hempfield Tp., Westmoreland Co., d. 7/27/1831. (We married) 4/28/1801. Issue: a.) Elizabeth, b. 2/28/1802, (m. Tobias Shoemaker) b.) Johannes, b. 7/14/1804 (may have d.y.)(not baptised) c.) Adam, b. 3/21/1806, West Huntington Tp.,(Westmoreland Co.) d.) Maria Magdalena, b. 2/2/1809, Hempfield Tp.,(Westmoreland Co.) e.) Barbara, b. 9/1/1812 (may have d.y.)(not baptised) f. Cadrina, b. 5/15/1815, Hempfield Tp.,(Westmoreland Co.) (My second wife) I married Maria Zehner 9/15/1833, b. 12/25/1790, Hempfield Tp., Wmlnd. Co. Pa, d. 3/24/1848. Her parents, Johan George Zehner and Anna Maria nee Ramm. (They were married 1/25/1815. (Maria's first husband) Peter Ehret (Errett) d. 2/6/1816 Christian Erret, (my wife's father) d. 6/22/1826 Nov. 13, 1833 we saw a wonder in the sky which we had never seen before. (Halley's Comet) c.) Sara, b. 1/21/1832, m. ___(Brinton) To William Schumacher and his wife Anna Cadrina nee Longan (Long) d. son (Tobias) b.10/3/1796, Hempfield Tp., Westmoreland Co., PA Given to Gordon Seneff by Phillis Pieffer 6/13/83. [cut-off] "To Adam Horn and Ballt[?] Scharach, now Horn, was born a son in the year of our Lord 1825, Jul, 14th, and they named him Peter Horn September. 24th, 1827 a daughter was born and they named her Maria (later [cut-off]... Horn. In Jan. 21, 1832 a daughter was born and they named her Sara. (later [illegible]) Maria Zehner was born to her parents Johan George Zehner and his beloved wife Anna Maria nee Ramm, December 25th, 1790 and shortly afterward baptized by Pastor Wursbach by the holy [word crossed out] sacrament by which she received the above name. The honorable lady Maria Frismann was witness that she was born in Pennsylvania State, Westmoreland County, Hempfield Township. She was confirmed by Rev. Michael Steck, Lutheran minister, in Spring of 1806. She was married by Rev. Steck 25th January 1816 to Peter Ehret of Hempfield Township, and became a widow through the early death of her husband in Feb. 6th, 1816. To William Schumacher and his lawful wife Anna Cadrina nee Longan (Long) a son was born (Tobias?) on Oct. 3rd 8 P.M. in the sign of Corbian and Planet, 1796 [illegible word] all men are born in [illegible word] all children should be brought to Jesus. According to Christ's teaching written by the Evangelist Marcus[?] 10:15"Whosoever shall not receive the Kingdom of God as a little child shall not enter ther old." and was baptized by Pastor William _____? on 6th November 1796 in the Reformed church and his home was given as above. As witnesses were the honorable _____? and his wife that he was born in the American state Pennsylvania County Westmoreland and Hempfield township. This Bible I bought to enlighten myself to the house of God in the year of Christ 1816 for $6.00. My dear father was born 1738 Jan. 19th and was named Johan Adam Horn and he died 23rd of January 1817. His burial sermon was preached by Henry on Job. 16 Chap. Verse 22. John Adam Horn (Jr.) was born in the year of Christ 1778 June 13th in North (Hamton), Blenviel Township. Baptized by Pastor R.W. Weber. Anna Cadrina (Errett) now horn was born 1782 Nov. 23rd in Hempfield Township Westmoreland County and was baptized in December 26 in Zion Church by Mr. Baldermeier. In 1801 A.D. April 28th I have myself, Johan Adam Horn and adrina Errett now Horn, entered into Holy Matrimony. To Adam Horn and Anna Cadrina his wife, was born a daughter in A.D. 1802 Feb. 29th. and was baptized April 4th by Pastor Weber and was named Elizabeth. To Adam Horn and Anna Cadrina was born a son in West Huntington Township, Mar. 21, 1806 and was baptized June 8th. We gave him the name Adam. He was baptized by Pastor Weber. To Adam Horn and Cadrina was born a daughter Feb. 2 1809 in Hempfield Township and we named her the Christian name Maria Magdalena. She was baptized by Pastor Teg [?], May 21st. To Adam Horn and Cadrina a daughter was born May 21, 1815. The Christian name Cardina was given her. She was baptized by Pastor Teg [?] in Hempfield Township. To us a son was born July 14, 1804 Johannes. To us a daughter was born Sept. 1st, 1812, Barbara. My beloved wife Cadrina (Errett) Horn died July 27, 1831. Christian Errett died June 23rd, 1826 October 15th, 183_? I married the second time, Maria Zehner, widow of Peter Errett. "O God give us blessing and peace". Maria (Zehner) Horn, my beloved wife died 24th of march, 1848. Nov. 13th, 1833 we saw a wonder in the sky which we never saw before. Adam Horn died Feb. 12, 1861, aged 82 years, 9 months at the home of Tobias Shumaker."
