Beers, published by A. Pomeroy, #320 Chestnut Street, Philadelphia, in the year 1867. At that time the Cemetery was situated on the M. Bash Farm, bounded on the North by lands of Mrs Nelson Crissinger, on the West by J. Zimmerman & William Truxal, on the East by S. Sommers. The first Methodist Preaching in Westmoreland County, was in 1785 at “Fell's Settlement”, in Rostraver Township, about two miles east of the Monongahela River. As early as 1825, the Methodists' had preaching services in the Unity School House near Pleasant Unity (George Dallas Albert, page 258.). This Methodist Cemetery is being used for burials in 1946, and is kept in fair condition. It is not endowed, but the individuals who have loved ones buried in the cemetery take care of individual graves, which allows others to be in bad condition.
