Beamer Lutheran and Reformed, Remaley. Abstracted By: Ellis Michaels Abstract written using a digital photographic survey of the cemetery, performed by the author in Sep 2005. The author also used as a resource a copy of 27 Cemeteries Westmoreland County, by Della Reagan Fischer, which was a recompilation of an earlier transcription by Mrs. Frank Maddoc. A copy of 27 Cemeteries can be found in the Westmoreland Historical Society's library, Greensburg, PA. Comments in (parenthesis) are taken from Della Fisher's transcription. Directions to cemetery: 1. From Pittsburgh, take 376 Parkway East to Monroeville. 2. Exit onto William Penn Hwy/US-22. Follow for 2 miles. 3. Bear right, onto PA-286 E/Golden Mile Hwy. 4. Follow 286 E for 3.9 miles, make Right onto Holiday Park Drive. 5. Follow Holiday Park Drive to "T" intersection at Logan Ferry Road. 6. Make Right onto Logan Ferry Road. Cemetery is about 30 yards down on the right. GPS Coordinates: Lat- N 40 28.784' Long- W 079 41.949 elev- 1291' Originally known as Beamer's Church, a church was built near the cemetery in 1817, on land from the Beamer family, and served both Reformed, and Lutheran Congregations. The Union Church disbanded in 1870, and a new church was built in 1871, and was called Olive Reformed Church. It was again rebuilt after a fire in 1916, before finally disbanding about the year 1960.
