Brown buwbrown@concast.net July 18, 2008, 5:19 pm Indenture between Levi Silvis, farmer, of Grapeville, Westmoreland Co., Pa., and the House of Refuge of Western Pennsylvania, with the consent of Albert Stevens, set out said Stevens as an apprentice, to dwell with Silvis, for four years from date. He shall be furnished with meat, drink, clothing, washing and lodging and taught the art of farming. Apprentice to receive one quarter's schooling annually and be paid $15.00 the first year, $25.00 the second year, $35.00 the third year and $50.00 the fourth year, to be paid annually to the House of Refuge to be deposited for the use of said apprentice.
