All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/pa/pafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Carolyn Porter carolynporter1@aol.com October 4, 2008, 6:22 pm BOOK 8 PAGE 301 DEED ANDREW PORTER et uxor TO JOHN EWING PORTER DEED Westmoreland County Pennsylvania May 16, 1806 This Indenture made the sixteenth day of May in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and six Between Andrew Porter of the Township of Norriton in the County of Montgomery and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Esquire and Elizabeth his wife of the one part and John Ewing Porter of the Borough of Westchester in the County of Chester and Commonwealth of Pennsylvania aforesaid Attorney at law of the other part Witnesseth that the said Andrew Porter and Elizabeth his wife as well for divers good and lawful considerations them thereunto moving as for and in Consideration of the sum of one dollar lawful money of the United States of America to them in hand paid by the said John Ewing Porter at and before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold aliened enfeoffed released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do grant bargain (Page 302) sell alien enfeoff release convey and confirm unto the said John Ewing Porter his heirs and assigns a certain plantation or tract of land called Porters Deer Lick situate on the waters of Turtle Creek including the improvement of John Brown and a Deer Lick at deadened trees in the County of Westmoreland in the said Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Beginning at a post thence by William Meanochs land South thirty five degrees West two hundred and forty one perches to a marked white oak thence by vacant land North fifty five degrees West one hundred and seven perches to a marked white oak North thirty five degrees East two hundred and five perches to a marked white oak and South fifty five degrees East one hundred and eighty five perches to the place of Beginning Containing two hundred and forty six acres and fifty four perches and allowance of six percent for roads [Being the same land and premises which the Honorable the proprietors by a certain Patent or grant under the great seal of the Province Pennsylvania dated the fourteenth day of November One thousand seven hundred and seventy six recorded in the Rolls Office of and for the said province in Patent Book AA Vol. 16 page 589 granted onto the said Andrew Porter and Charles Porter and Stephen Porter in fee simple and the said Andrew Porter and Elizabeth his wife and Charles Porter by an Indenture bearing date the tenth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and eighty intended to be recorded did grant and convey two full equal and undivided third parts of the same the whole into three equal parts to be divided unto the said Stephen Porter in fee simple by virtue whereof the said Stephen Porter became seized in his demesne as of fee of and in the whole of the said premises and plantation or tract of land above described and being so seized he the said Stephen Porter and Margaret his wife by an Indenture bearing date the first day of January in the year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety six intended to be recorded granted and conveyed the dame unto the said Andrew Porte in fee simple] Together with all and singular the buildings and improvements rights members and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the revisions and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest property claim and demand whatsoever of them the said Andrew Porter and Elizabeth his wife in law equity or otherwise howsoever of in to and out of the same To have and to hold the said plantation or tract of land hereditaments and premises hereby granted or mentioned or intended so to be with the appurtenances unto the said John Ewing Porter his heirs and assigns to and for the only proper use benefit and behoof of the said John Ewing Porter his heirs and assigns forever;
