William Lyons tp Andrew Heaslet This Indenture made this twentieth day of November in the year of our Lord eighteen hundred, Between William Lyon of the county of Westmoreland and state of Pennsylvania of the one part and Andrew Heaslet of Mifflin county and of the state aforesaid of the other part. Witnesseth whereas by an article of agreement between William Lyons of the one part and Andrew Heaslet of the other bearing date twentieth day of March ninety eight, said Wm Lyons did contract, covenant and agree with the said Andrew Heaslet to give a Deed in fee simple for a certain tract of land the said Lyon was then residing on. Be it known that in and for the consideration of the sum of Fifty five Pound to me in hand in part of the condition money and his bonds for the sum of Fifty four Fifty four Pounds Two Shilling and six pence Have given granted alienated and confirmed unto the said Andrew Heaslet his heirs and assigns all following described piece or parcel of land situate in Fairfield township, Westmoreland County and state of aforesaid. Beginning at a post and running North twenty tree and a third perches to a post, thence by land of James Lawson south eighty degrees West, one hundred and fifty one and half perches to a post thence by land William Ramsey and David Brown South fifty one degrees East one hundred and eighty three perches to John Huston corner of the division line thence alongst John Huston's line north fifty one degrees East seventy perches to a stump thence North nineteen degrees East seventy two perches to the beginning . It being the remainder of that tract of land deducting there from one hundred and sixty six acres and 148 perches which was surveyed in pursuance of two warrants dated in the first day of February ninety three, granted to John and Jane Kennedy for which a deed was obtained the fifteenth day of April Ano. Dom. 98. To have said to hold the before described and bounded plantation of parcel of land with the appurtenances unto the said Andrew Heaslet his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of the said Heaslet his heirs and assigns forever. In witness whereof the Williams Lyons and Margaret his wife have hereunto set their hands and seals the day first written Sealed and delivered in presence of us . Att. Brown Jsh. Brown This is to notify David Lawson that I William Lyons doo request the fovour of him to incert the lines and couses that in this deed is omitted as it being inconvenient for me to come there to get the draft or to have it done as you have surveyed the land it is likely you have the draft and I do give you full power and authority to execute perform the same for me and likewise bet it as a particular favour.
