HINE & wives To Joseph GREGG This Indenture made the first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hun- dred and thirty six between Peter HINE and Margaret his wife & Jacob HINE, of the first part and Joseph GREGG of the second part all of the County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania wit- nessed that the said Peter HINE Margaret his wife, & Jacob HINE, for and in consideration of the sum of eight hundred and fifty dollars to them in hand, paid by the said Joseph GREGG, at and before the sealing and delivering hereof, the receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge, and thereof acquit and forever discharge the said Joseph GREGG, his heirs, executors, and administrators, by these presents, have granted, bargained, sold, aliened, enfeoffed, released and confirmed, and by these presents do grant, bargain, sell, alien, enfeoff, release and confirm unto the said Joseph GREGG and to his heirs and assigns, all that certain tract of land situated in Loyalhanna Township in said County, Beginning at a sugar tree thence down the Kiskiminetas river north twenty one degrees east, sixteen perches & two tenths, to a corner with eleven perches as to a post, thence (by residue of a larger tract of which this is a part) south eighty five degrees west, nine perches to a post, south two degrees west, twenty two perches and a half to a post, south thirty two degrees west, four perches to a post, and south eighty six degrees east, six perches to the place of beginning containing one acre seventeen perches & allow- ance. Whereas, the Commissioner(?) _____ of Pennsylvania by patent the 11 Mar- ch 1833 granted and conveyed the said described tract to William WHITE, as the said William WHITE by deed of conveyance duly exacted under his hand and seal, bearing date the seventeenth March A.D. 1835, did grant and confirm the above described premises unto the said Peter HINE and Jacob HINE, and to their heirs and assigns, referenced there unto being had more fully and at large appears, together with all the rights, titles, claims, and interests whatever of them the said, Peter HINE, Margaret his wife and Jacob HINE, in law or equity, or other- wise however, of in to or out of the same, to have and to hold the same unto the said Joseph GREGG, his heirs and assigns to the only proper use and behoof of him the said Joseph GREGG his heirs and assigns forever by these presents. In testimony whereof the said Peter HINES, Margaret his wife and Jacob HINE have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year first above written. Personally appeared before me a Justice of the Peace in and for said County, the grantors Peter HINE, Margar- et his wife and Jacob HINE and acknowledged the above written Indenture to be their act and deed, and desired that the same might be recorded as such according to law. The said Margaret being of proper age and by we duly examined, separate and a- part from the said husband and the contents thereof being first made known to her, declared that she did voluntarily and of her own free will and accord, seal and as her act & deed deliver the said Indenture without any coercion or compulsion of her said husband, and In testimony whereof I have hereunto sat my hand & seal the 22nd day of October A.
