We encourage links to the state and county table of contents. _______________________________________________________________ Vol.15 page468 Deed David Luker To Sam'l McGuire This Indenture made this tenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & twenty four between David Luker of the Township of South Huntington in the County of Westmoreland and State of Pennsylvania & Elizabeth his wife of the one part and Samuel McGuire of the Township County & State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said David Luker & Elizabeth his wife for and in consideration of the sum of forty five dollars to them in hand paid by the said Samuel McGuire at or before the ensealing and delivery hereof the receipt where of they do hereby acknowledge have granted, bargained and sold, aliened, enfeoffed released & confirmed & by these present do grant bargain & sell, enfoff release and confirm unto the said Samuel McGuire his heirs executors, administrators & assigns all that lott or piece of ground Situate in the Town of West Newton on the Youghiogheny River in the Township & County aforesaid it being apart of the same lott of ground that John Kuhns late High Sheriff of Westmoreland County aforesaid, by his Deed Poll under his hand and seal, bearing date the twenty first day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & one for the consideration therein mentioned did by virtue of a writ of Fieri Facias therein directed & recited, did grant & confirm unto Robert Baldrige & to his heirs & assigns all that lott messuage tenement on lott of land Situate as aforesaid in the Town of West Newton & marked in the general plan of said Town by No.7 on Water Street Containing thirty two perches strict measure, seized & sold as the property of William Snodgrass with the appurtenances to hold the same to Robert Baldrige his heirs and assigns forever, according to the act of the General Assembly in such case made & provided as by said Deed Poll duly executed acknowledged & entered amoung the Records of the Court of Common Pleas of said County relation being thereunto had may more fully appear. And the said Robert Baldrige & Jean his wife by their Indenture bearing date the seventh day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & nine for the consideration therein mentioned did convey the aforesaid lott of land with the appurtenances unto said David Luker aforementioned the hereafter described piece being a part thereof Beginning at a post on Water street three feet from the corner of lott No.8 and running parallel with the same South sixty degrees East sixty six feet thence running into lott No.7 North thirty degrees West twenty four feet to a post, thence through the same North sixty degrees West sixty six feet to a post on Water Street & running with the same South thirty degrees East twenty four feet to the post the place of Beginning Containing fifteen hundred and eighty four square feet of super facial measure. Together with all & singular the rights members priviledges liberties hereditaments and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining and the reversion & remainders rents issues and profits thereof To Have And To Hold the said hereby granted & bargained premises with the appurtenances & every part and parcel thereof unto him the said Samuel McGuire his heirs, executors administrators and assigns To the only proper use benifit and behoof of him the said Samuel McGuire his heirs and assigns forever And the said David Luker for himself his heirs executors and adminstrators doth covenant promise, grant and agree to & with the said Samuel McGuire his heirs executors administrators or assigns. That he said David Luker shall and will warrent guarantee & forever defend the aforesaid lott or piece of ground from all & every person or persons claiming or to claim by through or under him or his heirs & against all & every person or persons lawfully claiming the same In Witness whereof the parties to there presents have interchangeably set their hands & seals the day & year above written David Luker (seal) Elizabeth Luker (seal) Signed sealed & delivered in the presente of us J.C.Plumer Wm. Brookens Recieved the day of the date of the foregoing Indenture the sum of forty five dollars therein mentioned as witness my hand David Luker Westmoreland County Sct Before the subscriber one of the Commonwealth Justice of peace in and for the County of Westmoreland Personally came David Luker & Elizabeth his wife the within grantors and severally acknowledged the within Indenture to be their act and deed for the purpose therein expressed and desired the same might be recorded as such She the said Elizabeth being of full age & by me examined separate and apart from her husband acknowledged that it was her free and voluntary act and Deed without coertion or compulsion In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the tenth day of Jan 1824 J.C.Plumer(seal) Recorded the 9th day of Febuary 1824
