Co. Oct 14, 1892 This indenture made the fourteenth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety two (1892) between Ruth Anna Patton, widow of James Patton, late of the Village of Murrysville in the Township of Franklin, the county of Westmoreland and the State of PA, Deceased. John R. Patton (unmarried) of the City of Allegheny City in the county of Allegheny in the state aforesaid by his attorney in fact, Matthew H. Patton, specially constituted and appointed by Letter of Attorney being dated the twenty eighth day of May A.D. 1892 and now lodged for record in Westmoreland County aforesaid, Martha B. Patton (unmarried), Anna M. Dible and Eli Dible (her husband, Lizzie M. Patterson and William B. Patterson her husband, and Emma C. Patton (unmarried) all of the village of Murrysville aforesaid. Hannah J. Hoey and William H. Hoey her husband both of the village of Congruity in the Township of Salem in the county of Westmoreland aforesaid Matthew H. Patton of the city of Pittsburgh in the county of Allegheny aforesaid and Priscilla, his wife, of the first part and Turtle Creek Valley Railroad Company of the second part. Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of Three Hundred Dollars lawful money of the United States of American unto them well and truly paid, by the said parties of the 2nd part, at and before the sealing and delivery of these present, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained, sold, aliened,... All that certain strip or piece of land ....beginning at a stake in the line established for the centre line of the railroad of the said Company known as the Lyons Run Branch and in the line of land of William McWilliams and extending thence .... Being part of a tract of land containing one hundred and seventy four acres and one hundred and fifty nine perches which J.N. Dick by Indenture bearing date the Fifteenth day of November AD 1854 and recorded in Westmoreland County aforesaid in Deed Book 37 page 488 & granted and conveyed until James Patton (by the name of James Patten) in fee. And the said James Patton being so seized of the said tract of land departed this life on the tenth day of January 1879 intestate, leaving to survive him a widow, Ruth Anna and seven children only viz. The said John R. Patton, Martha B. Patton, Anna M intermarried with Eli Dible, Lizzie M intermarried with William B. Patterson, Emma C. Patton, Hannah J. intermarried with William H. Hoey and Matthew H. Patton to whom the title of the land descended and became vested subject to the Dower of the mother, Ruth Anna Patton. Whereof the said Ruth Anna Patton, John R. Patton by Matthew H. Patton, Martha B. Patton Anna M. Dible and Eli Dible (her husband), Lizzie M. Patterson and William B. Patterson her husband, and Emma C. Patton , Hannah J. Hoey and William H.
