The following information was copied by Kathleen Molnar Brown, Ph.D. on August 16th, 1997 at the Research Room in the National Archives, Washington, D.C. Two copies each exist of the Muster Roll and Pay Roll for Capt. Irwin Horrell's Company. The Commencement of Service of this Company began on November 21st, 1814. Expiration of Service was December 4th, 1815. All Company members were payed for a service period of 14 days. In addition to service pay based on rank and duration of service, the company members were payed additional return mileage, travelling from Statler's Tavern to Laughlinstown, Penna, a distance of 50 miles or 2 and a half days. According to the Muster Roll, the company was inducted at Reed's Tavern in the Ligonier Valley and discharged at Statler's Tavern, Alleghany Mountain. Place of residence for all company members was listed as Laughlintown, Westmoreland County, PA. At one time, a researcher placed marks next to the names of certain company members. I suspect that these are individuals for whom a pension or bounty land warrant application exist. These individuals are identified by [R] next to their names. The following is the list of company members, followed by their rank, pay per month, amount of pay, amount of travel allowance, and total amount payed out to each member. 1.
