Latrobe Bulletin December 18, 1902
BARREL WILL BE HERE. 
It will be on exhibition the day before Christmas. Watch for the barrel that
carried Annie Edson Taylor over Niagara Falls on October 24th, 1901. It is the
only. barrel in the whole world that ever carried human freight successfully
over the perilous Falls. The barrel is used in Rawland A. Clifford's "Over
Niagara Falls" which comes to Showalter's Opera House on Christmas eve, December
the 24th. Manager Showalter has arranged to have the barrel exhibited during the
day. It will probably be placed at the corner of Ligonier and Depot streets.
Watch for it.
