The Cambria Freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938 April 29, 1869
Joseph Marchand, a former citizen of Greensburg, who went to California several
years ago, has recently sold his interest in a claim in the White Pine regions for
$100,000 in gold. Another Westmorelander, Capt. John G. Andrews, who bought a tract
of land in Kansas about a year ago for $30,000 has just sold the same tract for the
sum of $175,000. Better be born lucky than rich.
