The Cambria Freeman. (Ebensburg, Pa.) 1867-1938 February 18, 1869
Rev. G. Christoph, for the past seven years or so pastor of the St. Benedict's
congregation, Carrolltown, has been called to assume the duties of professor at St.
Vincent Academy, near Latrobe, and Thursday last took his departure for the scene of
his future labors. No clergyman has ever more fully or faithfully performed the
duties of pastor, and no people has ever more heartily loved or highly esteemed
their spiritual director than have the members of St. Benedict's church loved and
esteemed Father Ciles. He has won the respect and good will of all classes, and they
cannot but wish him abundant graces in this life and unending felicity in the next.
