  Newspaper Clipping Form Greensburg Daily Tribune 1942
  Mrs. Daniel J. Snyder received at her home in Division avenue between the hours 
  of 3 and 6 Saturday afternoon to present her new daughter, Mrs. D.J. Snyder, 
  Jr., the former Martha Fleming, of Pittsburgh, to her friends. The marriage of 
  the young Snyders was an event of April 8. The couple live at 324 Spring 
  avenue, this city.
  Aides were Mrs. Snyder's daughter, Mrs. F. E. Rector, of Evanston, Ill., a 
  bride of last season and her sister, Miss Gertrude Fowle[s], of Wilkinsburg.
  Pink and blue were the colors emphasized in the dining room and the centerpiece 
  was a particularly lovely arrangement of flowers in shades of pink. Those who 
  poured were Mrs. John C. Silsley, Miss Vinnie Knappenberger, Mrs. John B. 
  Steel, Mrs. W.S. MacDonald, Mrs. P.O Peterson and Miss Elizabeth Peterson.
  Aides in the dining room were Miss Ann Dunbar, Miss Mabel MacDonald, Miss Betty 
  Brinker, Mrs. Gordon L. Williams, Mrs. Carl Scheman and Miss Kathleen Pershing. 
  Masses of japonica, daffodils and narcissus gave a delightful air of spring to 
  the Snyder house and furnished a lovely setting for the tea.
  
  Additional Comments:
  Daniel J. Snyder, Jr. (1916-1980) married Martha Valeria Fleming Snyder (1916-
  2010) on April 8, 1942 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was the son of Judge D.J. Snyder, 
  Sr. (1867-1953) and Winifred Fowles Snyder (1880-1970). She was the daughter of 
  Rev. William Franklin Fleming (1872-1942) and Charlotte Valeria Schoenfeld 
  Fleming (1874-1959). The Snyder family resided in Westmoreland County, 
  Pennsylvania for about 200 years.
