John Angelo and John Pipock, the victims, are both from Hostetter. The men were knocked down and badly bruised, but are believed to have sustained no broken bones. Angelo was brought to the Latrobe Hospital for an X-ray of his left leg, Apparently, it is fractured below the knee. Only the fact that they were standing on the far side of a truck from the fall of stone saved the two men from more serious injury. Much of the stone fell on the truck, badly damaging it. The truck proved a sort of screen, which kept the major part of the fall from striking the men, but nevertheless sufficient from the debris got past to knock them down. Almost 50 tons of rock fell. Angelo and Pipock are employed by Adam Eidemiller, the contractor, and were in the act of loading stone to take to the Lincoln Highway improvement project east from Laughlintown.
