Suddenly at her home in Avonmore, September 13, 1934, Mrs. Della Nancy Almes,
wife of John F. Alms. Mrs. Almes had been in ill health for a year or so and she
was found dead in bed Thursday morning, valvular heart trouble given as the
cause of death. She was a daughter of Henry M. and Emmaline Carney Householder
and born March 14, 1881, in Bell township, Westmoreland county. Funeral services
were held at her late home on Saturday at 2:30 conducted by Rev. T. Wilbur
Eshenaur, and interment was in Edgewood cemetery, Saltsburg. Surviving is her
mother, her husband and one sister, Mrs. George Berlin, of Manor.
