Mrs. Sarah Jane Altimus, 61, New Florence RD 2, died
at 7:30 am December 16, in Lee Hospital. Born January 6,
1891, in West Wheatfield township, Indiana county, a
daughter of James and Sara E. (St. Clair) Wakefield.
Survived by her husband, William E. Altimus; three
daughters: Mrs. Anna Grace Hill, Blairsville RD 1; Miss
Vesta Altimus and Miss Doris Altimus at home; four sons:
Herman at home; Charles, Derry RD 1; Dale, Cramer and
William, Armagh; three sisters: Mrs. Laura Hewitt,
Jeannette; Mrs. Anna Treasure, Bolivar; and Mrs. Wilda
McGraw, Blairsville RD 1; brother J. C. Wakefield, Elk
River, Minn. She was a member of Germany Methodist Church,
West Wheatfield township. Friends will be received after 4
pm today (Wednesday) in Ferguson Funeral Home, Blairsville.
Services there at 2 pm Friday, Rev. Robert Crouse, assisted
by Rev. P. W. Large. Interment in the Blairsville Cemetery.
