Latrobe Bulletin Tue, Sep 03, 1968 
George Albert Altman, formerly of Latrobe, died at his home, 1922 Harris Ave.,
Richland, Wash., at 7:30 a.m. yesterday. Born in Lincoln Twp., Allegheny County,
June 5, 1884, son of the late Edwin and Elizabeth Leech Altman. Member of the
Latrobe United Methodist Church, F & A M Lodge 275, Bloomsburg Consistory, Syria
Temple, Pittsburgh.
Surviving son, George W., Akron, Ohio; daughters: Mrs. Edward (Margaret
Elizabeth) Smith, Pittsburgh; Mrs. Mark (Bernice) Arndt, Richland, Wash.; Mrs.
Harrison (Ada May) Krider, Wilmington, N. C.; sister, Mrs. Mary Rebecca Saxman,
Wilmington, N. C.; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great
grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the M. S. Hartman Funeral Home
beginning Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., with funeral services in the
chapel at 2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. C. Russell Kerr in charge. Interment will
follow in Coles Cemetery.
