Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 11 Jan 1972
Elmyra Ankney, 61, Ligonier RD 3, died in Latrobe Hospital Monday evening. Born June
20, 1910, in Everett, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Edna Kinkead
Heister, was a member of the Church of the brethren, Everett, and the National
Campers and Hikers Association. Surviving are her husband, David E. Ankney; and the
following children: Edwin Dale Campbell, McCally, Ala.; Ronald Campbell, of
Ligonier; Mrs. Richard (Kay) Mencher, Ligonier, and Regis I. Campbell, Laughlintown.
Two sisters, Mrs. Helen Barton and Mrs. Dorothy Dickinson, both of Everett, and 13
grandchildren also survive. Services will be held at 2 pm Thursday with the Rev. Jay
Eastman officiating. Interment will follow in Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
