Samuel L. Ansel, 65, of Latrobe RD 2, died Friday, July 18, 1986, in Latrobe
Area Hospital. He was born Jan 6, 1921, in Mount Pleasant Township, a son of
Mary Struble Ansel of Youngstown and the late Lewis Ansel. Prior to his
retirement, he was employed by Vulcan Mold and Iron Co. of Latrobe. In addition
to his father, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Jacob, William, and
Lloyd Ansel. He is survived by his wife, Theresa Sredinsky Ansel; three sisters,
Mrs. Frank (Edna) Christopher of Tempe, Ariz., Mrs. Raymond (Mary) Ransel, of
Latrobe RD 2, and Viola Osborne of Farmingdale, NY; two brothers, Leroy J. Ansel
of Latrobe and George M. Ansel of McClellandtown, and a number of nieces and
nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and 3 to 5 and 7 to
9 p.m. Sunday in James P. Gaut Funeral Home Inc., Pleasant Unity. Services will
be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home with the Rev. William O. Schmeling
officiating. Interment will follow in Lycippus Cemetery, Unity Township.
