Mrs. Mabel B. Aukerman, 66, of Latrobe died Monday, June 22, 1992, in Latrobe.
She was born June 5, 1926, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late Grover C.
and Lottie Andrews Binkey. She was a life member and an elder of Latrobe
Presbyterian Church. She was a former member and chairman of the board of
directors of the Little Shop at Latrobe Area Hospital, where she served for many
years as a volunteer. She was a member of the Latrobe Women's Club and was
active in various other church and civic groups. Besides her parents, she was
preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Lemmon. She is survived by her husband,
James E. Aukerman; a daughter, Elaine L Kotary of Westerville, Ohio; a son, J.
Todd Aukerman of Sewickley; three grandchildren, Kelly, Max and Casey Kotary;
two sisters, Ruth B. Myers of Latrobe and Charlotte B. Jinkner of Greensburg,
and a number of nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hartman-Graziano Funeral Home Inc., 1500 Ligonier St.,
Latrobe. Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Unity Chapel, Unity
Township, with the Rev. David B. Batchelder officiating. Interment will be in
Unity Cemetery, Unity Township.
