Latrobe Bulletin Mon Sep 27, 1976
Lawrence Baird, 88, of Greensburg (formerly of Latrobe) died Saturday morning.
He was born in Derry Jan. 27, 1888, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Seymour (Jane
Ross) Baird. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Latrobe, social member of
VFW and retired from Penn Central Railroad. His wife, Theresa Hayes Baird,
preceded him in death in 1958. He is survived by one son and three daughters,
Leo and Mrs. Esther Austraw, both of Latrobe, Mrs. Howard (Betty) Kinsey of
Greensburg, with whom he made his home, and Margaret Baird of Greensburg; one
brother and three sisters, Helen Baird of Latrobe, Mrs. Paul (Alice) Irwin of
Derry and Mrs. Jean McCoy and Merele Baird, both of Coraopolis; four grandsons,
and two great-grandchildren. Visitation hours are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. in John
J. Lopatich Funeral Home, Latrobe. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5
and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in
Holy Family Church. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery.
