Robert J. Baltes, 61, of 264 Angela Lane, Ligonier, died Sunday, Feb. 24, 1985,
in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born in Brooklyn, N. Y., the
son of the late Robert N. and Eda Nolte Baltes. A member of Christ United
Methodist Church of Bethel Park, the White Plains Lodge 473 F&AM of New York and
the Ligonier Rotary Club, he was employed as a pilot for PPG Industries. He is
survived by his wife, Joan Grable Baltes; one daughter, Mrs. Peter (Beth) Tesche
of Brazil; one son, Robert J. of Pittsburgh and one sister, Mrs. Virginia B.
Grape of Hopewell Junction, N. Y. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to
9 p.m. Tuesday in the McCabe Funeral Home, 244 W. Main St., Ligonier. Service
will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Rev. James P.
Fogg Jr. officiating. Interment will be private. Memorial contributions may be
made to the Ligonier Rotary Club.
