Born Oct. 30, 1902, in Whitney, she was a daughter of the late Amzi A. and Ada Stough Huffman. She was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ligonier and Ulysses Chapter 95 of the Order of Eastern Star. She was a retired school teacher from Greater Latrobe School District with 25 years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry I. Bartges, in 1951, and three brothers, Luther A., Charles W. and Paul F. Huffman. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. George (Marie) King of Ligonier; one son, William F. of Kersey R.D. 1; four grandchildren, and two brothers, Byron H. Huffman of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Glenn S. Huffman of Whitney. Friends will be received in James P. Gaut Funeral Home, Pleasant Unity, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. William M. Oesterlin officiating. Interment will follow in Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
