The Ligonier Echo (Ligonier, Pennsylvania) · 27 Apr 1932, Wed  
Mrs. Arminta V. Bates, aged 67 years, died at her home in 
Millbank, Friday morning, April 22, 1932, of a complication 
of diseases. She is survived by the following children: Mrs. 
W. F. Rhoades, Mrs. F. E. Baker, Charles and Gibson, all of 
Latrobe; Miss Helen, at home; John, Oscar and Earl of 
Ligonier; Vesta of Cresson; George of Shippingport; and 
Robert of Pittsburgh. She is also survived by one sister, 
Mrs. Ed Piper of Ligonier, as well as thirteen 
grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon 
at the Ligonier Lutheran church in charge of Rev. Oscar 
Carlson. Interment was made in the Ligonier Valley Cemetery.
