Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 25 Aug 1973
Mrs. Edward (Goldie) Bates, of New Derry, died in the Latrobe Area Hospital on
Friday. She was born in Latrobe, a daughter of the late James and Mary Ellen
(Brannigan) Shepherd. Her husband, Edward Leo Bates, preceded her in death March 4,
1971. She is survived by four children, Mrs. Edward (Alice) Moroz, of North East,
Pa., Allen, Eloise and Edwin, all at home, and two brothers, David P. Shepherd of
Kingston, and Walter E. Shepherd of Susanville, Calif. The family will receive
friends at the Richard W. Dell Home for Funerals, Latrobe.
