Latrobe Bulletin (Latrobe, Pennsylvania) 7 Dec 1990
Mrs. David L. Bates, 51, of Monroeville, formerly of Latrobe, died suddenly, Dec. 4,
1990, in Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. She was born March 13, 1939, in
Latrobe, a daughter of Mary Nalevanko Gilbert and the late Steve Gilbert. She was a
member of St. Bernadette Church in Monroeville. She is survived by her husband,
David L. Bates; three daughters, Laura Bates of Pittsburgh, and Maria and Linda
Bates, both of Monroeville, and one brother, Dennis Gilbert of Latrobe. A funeral
mass was celebrated at 10:30 am Friday at St. Bernadette Church, Monroeville.
