Mrs. Lydia Beal Dead at Youngwood

Mrs. Lydia Beal, 83 years, dead at her son-in-law and 
daughters home Mr. and Mrs. Al Myers at Youngwood at 5:20 
Saturday evening. Her husband, John L. Beal died a year ago. 
 She is survived by the following children: James, Mrs. 
Edward Stewart, and Mrs. D. B. Evans all of Jeannette; Mrs. 
Eva Myers of Youngwood, Mrs. Ada Cooper and Frank Beal both 
of Mount Pleasant.

The body was taken to the home of Mrs. Edward Cooper, 
Washington Street in Mount Pleasant by Funeral Direct C. B. 
Brooks of Indian Head.  The funeral was held at 3:00 this 
afternoon with Rev. J. L. Updegraph, pastor of the Church of 
God of Mount Pleasant officiating.

Additional Comments: Lydia Smith was born 16 Mar 1851. She 
married John Lichty Beal 20 Dec. 1866. They had ten 
children: James H., Emma (md. James Edward Stewart), Norman, 
Cora May (md. Dermitte B. Evans),Benjamin Franklin, Eleanor, 
Ada May (md. Edward H. Cooper, Alva, Eva (md.William A. 
Meyers) and Grant.
